Dec. 22, 2021 - After a jam-packed year, it's hard to believe that 2021 is finally drawing to a close. Peerless-AV celebrated over 80 years of innovation, developed new products, and partnered on some truly incredible projects. The Peerless-AV team feels so lucky to have had such a successful year in business and are so excited to share our top partnerships, acknowledgments, and event highlights from this past year!

New Innovations

This past year, our team introduced several new, exciting products to address changes in consumer needs and behavior. Just in time for warmer temperatures, Peerless-AV introduced the all-new Neptune™ Shade Series Outdoor TVs in April. The new Shade Series product line includes 55", 65", and 75" outdoor TV options, all of which come with a free Neptune™ Outdoor Tilting Wall Mount, making outdoor entertainment dreams a reality for homes across North America.

In June, the new Landscape/Portrait Kiosk was introduced to our product lineup. This unique solution combines the elegance of Peerless-AV's indoor kiosks, with added functionality to support most 15", 22", or 32" digital signage displays in either landscape or portrait orientation. From entertaining to wayfinding, this is an ideal solution for any indoor application setting, including hospitality, retail, corporate, and more. A high-performance, premium powder coat finish protects the unit and extends the product lifespan, however, a wide range of custom aesthetic options are also available. The kiosk comes in black (KIP522) or silver (KIP522-S), with the ability to customize the aesthetics (vinyl wraps, logos, custom paint) to best match branding. The unobtrusive, flat base that can be free-standing or bolted to the ground and Internal storage cable management conceals all cabling to create an aesthetically pleasing appearance, while also creating an easy to access point for electric and data cable installation and maintenance.

For gamers and streamers, or even security, control rooms, and trade market applications, Peerless-AV launched the 1×2 Freestanding Desktop Stand for Ultra-Wide Curved Monitors this year. The new freestanding desk mount offers a functional and convenient mounting solution for 24" to 49" ultra-wide curved monitors and allows monitors to be stacked in a 1×2 layout. The mount also features a height-adjustable column to provide proper spacing for monitor stacking, maximizing the ability to simultaneously view multiple sources, while the Hook-and-Hang™ design allows for quick installation and removal when monitors need to be swapped out quickly.

Two new products were added to our line of wall mounts – The Universal Swing-Out Wall Mount + Set Top Box Holder. With up to 90 degrees of swing, this product pairing complements mounting solutions for multiple viewing angles and access, while maintaining an aesthetically pleasing look. The Universal Swing-Out Wall Mount provides mounting solutions for expansive settings, such as hotel rooms, retail showrooms, or even open concept living areas, while the Set Top Box Holder pairs with it to keep your STB mounted behind the TV in hospitality applications.

From indoor manufacturing applications looking to create digital dashboards on the production floor to display reports, initiatives or branded content, or even presenting digital content in an outdoor stadium, arena, or parking garage with limited wall mount space – Peerless-AV proudly introduced the I-Beam Mount for Digital Signage Displays. This is an ideal solution for securing displays to various sized I-beams, and includes cut-to-length threaded rods for a customizable solution to accommodate a variety of I-beam lengths.  The mount is compatible with various Peerless-AV Wall Mount models (such as the indoor SmartMount® Universal Flat Wall Mount (ST650) or the Wind Rated Outdoor Universal Tilt Wall Mount (EWMU)) and offers a corrosion resistant design for long-lasting integrity, strength and relentless support in any setting.

To aid QSRs and retail drive-thrus, through increased demand during the pandemic, the Universal Outdoor Digital Menu Boards were launched in September. These all-weather rated, outdoor units offer a low operating cost, modular design, and an easy, two-man installation process. Digital content can be updated remotely and in real-time, creating a seamless drive-thru experience for customers and a more efficient restaurant. These are also extremely helpful in upgrading signage at medical, educational, corporate and municipal venues and attractions as more businesses make the transition from static to digital.

Lastly, Peerless-AV announced the launch of the new generation 55" Xtreme™ High Bright Outdoor Display in early December. To address performance requirements in hotter ‘desert' or sunnier climates, the new XHB553 outdoor display is fan cooled to reduce heat build-up caused by thermal load from extended exposure to direct sunlight. The XHB553 is now 25% lighter than the previous generation 55" and includes a gyroscope sensor that serves as an anti-theft system by detecting unintended motion or impact, sending real-time alerts to administrators. The XHB553's IP66 rated design protects against the ingress of water, dust, dirt, moisture, and insects, and an IK10, tempered cover glass offers protection against vandalism and debris.
