Hampton, New Jersey–December 14, 2009 – Kramer Electronics has announced the introduction of the VP-8K. The VP-8K is a 1 input by 8 output computer graphics video distribution amplifier. The VP-8K replaces the VP-8 in Kramer’s line of distribution amplifiers and includes the addition of Kramer’s Kr-isp® advanced sync processing technology.
The VP-8K is a high-performance, HDTV compatible distribution amplifier for computer graphics signals with resolutions exceeding UXGA. It accepts one computer graphics input on a 15-pin HD connector and outputs the signal via eight 15-pin HD connectors to eight destinations or displays. The VP-8K features a high video bandwidth of 370MHz, internal ID Bit control, a termination switch and Kramer’s Kr-isp advanced sync processing technology.
Kramer’s Kr-isp advanced sync processing technology provides a sharp, stable image and ensures compatibility with a wide range of computers even if the sync level is too low by restoring the sync signal waveform. Kr-isp sync processing can be enabled or disabled.
The VP-8K is housed in a desktop-sized enclosure and it operates with an external 5V DC power supply. The VP-8K is now available through authorized Kramer Electronics resellers around the world and has a list price in the U.S. of $585.00. Complete Kramer product information may be found at
